Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cue ("the Service"), operated by Cue ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using Cue, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
Cue is an AI-powered teleprompter application that runs in your web browser. It provides voice-synced script display, AI-generated response suggestions, and script management features for professionals.
2. Accounts and Access
The free tier of Cue is available without registration. Pro and Team features require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Cue to:
- Engage in any unlawful activity or facilitate illegal conduct
- Deceive, defraud, or mislead others in harmful ways
- Violate any third-party intellectual property rights
- Transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract proprietary code
4. AI Features and Third-Party APIs
Cue's AI co-pilot features use the Anthropic API. When you use AI features, your script content and context are sent to Anthropic's servers under your own API key. Your use of AI features is additionally subject to Anthropic's Terms of Use. We are not responsible for AI-generated content and recommend reviewing all suggestions before use.
5. Speech Recognition
Cue uses your browser's built-in speech recognition (Web Speech API). Audio processing for voice sync occurs on your device and through your browser's speech recognition service (e.g., Google's speech API in Chrome). We do not capture, store, or transmit audio recordings.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
Pro and Team subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase. To cancel, visit your account settings or contact [email protected].
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of all scripts, context, and content you create in Cue. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not use your scripts or context to train AI models.
8. Intellectual Property
The Cue name, logo, and application code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of Cue without explicit written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Cue is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions will be accurate or appropriate for your use case.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Cue — including any reliance on AI-generated suggestions during professional engagements.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles.
